Yo...I enjoyed reading about your trip to Bethlehem. Your pictures and details of the history of the buildings were interesting. The large Christmas tree outside with a nearby mosque and the Basilica of the Nativity being divided up between several denominations was impressive. The door of humility was deceptive because the small opening was misleading regarding the grandeur of the large vaulted ceiling and rooms inside. I liked seeing the machine the man carves olive wood souvenirs on. What good hospitality to offer Turkish coffee while you shop. The place looks ancient inside with the stone walls.
